Location & Views – Is the Sporthotel Arabba the best located hotel on the Sellaronda? Or within Dolomiti Superski even? It’s hard to argue against it, with its prime location in the Sellaronda’s highest resort, just 150m from the main lift station and 100m from the nursery slopes. Either way, it takes just 3 minutes (150m) to get to the main lift station at Porta Vescovo, gateway to the Orange Sellaronda, the Marmolada (with its 12km red run from the summit), and all the thrilling north facing blacks and reds that belong to Arabba itself. (They’re just outside the window!) Even nearer is the Burz Chairlift, gateway to Corvara, the Green Sellaronda, Pralongia Plateau and the Hidden Valley. Whichever you choose, you ski from an unrivalled springboard. And when the skiing’s done, the vibrant resort centre is just 250m down the hill.
The Hotel – After 25 years here, we know it well. Recently exquisitely refurbished, this is a holiday of stylish self-indulgence blended with easy and informal relaxation. Collett’s has both traditional and brand new Standard Double (or twin) bedrooms to offer, although Comfort or Family Suites can be requested. Wallow in the beautiful health spa, before an aperitif in the piano bar and a treasured, 4 course, gastronomic dining experience. The breakfast buffet might overwhelm you at first, but you will soon master it, fuelling up efficiently for memorable mountain days.
