Location & Views – Garni Tofana enjoys an attractive and tranquil spot less than 10 minutes walk from the village centre and the two gondalas that provide walkers with access to higher trailheads. If you are walking from the nearby Gardena Pass, Falzarego Pass or a neighbouring village, the bus stop is less than 5 minutes on foot. Within 2 minutes of the door, you can be strolling in extensive flower-rich pastures that flank the village and stretch out amidst breathtaking scenery. Towered over by Sassongher (2665m), Garni Tofana has sensational views in all directions. Prepare to be captivated for hours.
The B&B – This is a warm and welcoming ‘garni’ which translates as ‘guest house’ or large B&B in Italian. It has 17 bedrooms, each with a balcony from which you will enjoy astounding views. Our holidays then include a fabulous 4 course dinner 200m along the road at the stylish Hotel Christian, where guests of Collett’s have their own dining area. Immaculately presented, Garni Tofana has a warm and traditional feel: welcoming and hospitable in true Tyrolean style. This is not accommodation for the ‘party animal’ and most guests ‘hit the sack’ soon after dinner – although there is the opportunity to help yourself to a drink from the honesty bar in the small guest lounge.
Buon Appetito! – This is a holiday of gastronomic excellence. Firstly, you can look forward to venturing out onto the trails fully fuelled up after a generous breakfast. Secondly, we have a superb collaboration with the nearby Hotel Christian, where you will enjoy wonderful 4 course dinners in the enchanting atmosphere of an elegant hotel.
Your Hosts – Garni Tofana is run by the Piai family – Luigi, Maria and their son, Jaco. It is run with delightful enthusiasm and energy – nothing is too much trouble and you will soon feel at home here. Office Hour is hosted a short (5-10 mins) walk down the road at Hotel La Tambra – where the local knowledge of our Walks Team is always on hand to help you with everything walks-related and more.
